From Gimignano we went to Pisa.
We left at about 10 am, and were in Pisa by noon.
The campsite was just 800 metres away from the world famous leaning tower of Pisa.
So we went straight into Pisa is search of the leaning tower.
It was easy enough to find, and we were suitably amazed and how much of a “lean” on it there is.
Tourists from all over the world were posing in different positions in an attempt to make the tower look like it was falling over, and they were the ones holding it up.
One good thing about Pisa, around the tower area is that the grass was cut in perfectly straight lines. Everything else seemed to have lost its sense of geometry!
There is only a certain amount of time that one can spend looking at the leaning tower of Pisa. So we set off to look around the rest of the town.
Not much to report.
Went back to our campsite and settled down for the night.
